Join us for our second workshop that aims to combat bullying through the power of arts education! A3: Anti-Bullying in Arts Education is an in-person event taking place on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 1200 South College Avenue, Fort Collins, CO 80524.

This event brings together artists, educators, and advocates who are passionate about using the arts to address and prevent bullying in artistic spaces, schools, and communities.

During the afternoon, you'll have the opportunity to attend engaging workshops, listen to inspiring speakers, and participate in interactive sessions. Our lineup of experts will share their experiences and approaches for fostering more inclusive environments through art, music, theater, dance, and more.

Whether you're an educator, artist, student, or simply more interested in getting involved in arts advocacy, this is an opportunity to learn, connect, and collaborate.

When: Sunday, October 22nd

Time: 3pm - 5:30pm MT/Check-in will start at 2:45pm MT

Where: Full Expression! A Dance Collective, 1200 S College, Fort Collins CO

Workshop Fee: $10 and ALL proceeds will be donated to SPLASH Youth of Northern Colorado

Workshop Description: Bringing in the intersections of anti-bullying practices/legislation/efforts and the performing arts, Full Expression! and Playcrafter Kids invites you to this workshop to connect with experts who are dedicated to this work. Our focus is to bring attention to the current anti-bullying challenges that the performing arts spaces are facing today. This is part of an ongoing community conversation series at Full Expression where we work daily on our mission of creating more equitable and safer experiences for dancers.

What Do Our Artists & Educators Communities Need To Create A Culture of Anti-Bullying

Group discussion around the challenges that educators are seeing in their own artistic spaces and what resources/practical tools are available. Our goal is to provide a space for conversation, work out ideas, and collaborate with credible experts working in the fields of anti-bullying and social justice.

How Teaching Through Consent Can Help Support Anti-Bullying At Any Age

This class taps into consent based movement activities and teaching practices that are accessible to implement in your classes, rehearsals, and more. We will also offer a warm-up/cool down to recenter and give yourself a moment to reflect and breath.
